Write the shot list before you write the script
Most people write a script and then hunt for footage that vaguely fits, which is how you end up with generic lifestyle clips. Reverse it: list the six to eight shots you can actually get or generate — product in hand, close-up of texture, the problem state, the result — then write lines that those shots illustrate. Klip Kanvas will pull B-roll for you from the product URL, but a shot list still decides which of its suggestions you keep.
