Founder-Led Ad Script Cheatsheet: Beat Maps and Line Templates

Beat-by-beat founder-to-camera scripts — origin, contradiction, floor demo, honest caveat — plus clone-consent rules and a test matrix that is not a UGC skeleton with the job title swapped in.

Founder-to-camera ads convert on named authority, not a borrowed customer face. This sheet is beat maps, fill-in lines and clone-production rules so a founder script does not collapse into a UGC skeleton with the job title swapped in at the last second.

A founder ad is a different contract with the viewer

UGC borrows a peer. Founder-led creative borrows a name, a decision and a reputation. If the first three seconds could be said by any stock avatar, you do not have a founder ad — you have a product ad wearing a LinkedIn title. The contract is: this person made a call the viewer did not, they will show the reason, they will take one honest caveat, and they will ask for a click without pretending to be a customer review. Skip the caveat and it reads as a pitch deck. Skip the named decision and it reads as UGC with worse lighting. The locked beat maps force those loads onto the timeline so you cannot 'just talk for 30 seconds' and call it founder content.

Four skeletons, not one origin story on repeat

Most founder ads are the same 40-second memoir: childhood, struggle, eureka, shop now. That structure works once per audience, then it fatigues because the viewer already knows you exist. Rotate four jobs: origin (why this exists), contradiction (what you stopped believing), floor demo (how it actually works in your hands), and honest caveat (what it is not). Cold traffic usually wants contradiction or demo first; warm traffic will sit through origin; retargeting will sit through caveat plus offer. If every new cut is another origin take, you are not testing founder creative — you are testing delivery of one idea. The tables below time each skeleton so a 30s export does not dump three jobs into one file.

Clone, live take and stock face are not interchangeable

A consented founder clone can scale a winning script; a stock face saying 'I built this company' is a policy and a trust problem. Live takes win when the hands, the room or the unfinished thought is the proof. Clones win when you need hook volume on a face the account already trusts. Do not mix: same script, different identity, is a different test. Record consent that covers paid social, keep a still of the live take as the source of truth, and put the synthetic-media label on the file if a viewer could think the clone is in the room. Klip Kanvas can render a consented clone or a stock UGC pass from the same beat map — pick the identity first, then generate, or you will judge the wrong variable.

How to use the tables below

Pick the skeleton that matches the proof you actually have — origin if you have a named decision, contradiction if you have a rule you reversed, floor demo if the hands are the proof, caveat if you can disqualify a buyer out loud. Fill the line templates with words from the founder's own emails and support tickets, not from the brand deck. Then run the clone/consent/test matrix before you spend. Each locked row is a lookup: time window, spoken job, on-screen job, or a pass/fail production rule. If a beat has no artefact (no packshot, no number, no named decision), cut the beat rather than padding with brand language. One skeleton per file. One identity per test cell. Do not mix founder-clone and peer-UGC in the same ad set or you will not know which contract the viewer accepted.

6 lookup tables inside: origin-story 30s beats, contradiction 30s beats, floor-demo 35s beats, honest-caveat 30s beats, fill-in founder line templates, and clone/consent/disclosure plus the live-vs-clone test matrix.
