Jewellery Ads Cheatsheet: AOV Tiers, Trust Signals and Benchmarks
Fashion, fine and bridal jewellery economics with distinct CPM, CTR, CPA and AOV bands, trust-signal templates, macro shot lists and the occasion calendar this vertical actually spends on.
Jewellery is three businesses sharing a product photo: fashion jewellery that behaves like apparel, fine jewellery that behaves like a considered gift, and bridal that behaves like a 45-day sales cycle. This sheet splits AOV tiers, trust signals, macro shot lists and observed CPM, CTR, CPA bands so you stop averaging a $65 hoop with a $2,400 setting.
AOV tier is the account structure, not a merchandising nicety
Fashion jewellery ($48-95 AOV) can live on impulse UGC, 3-7 day retargeting and a first-order MER that looks like apparel — returns and plating complaints included. Fine jewellery ($180-385) needs metal, stone and return-policy proof in the ad, plus a 7-21 day consideration window; the buyer is often not the wearer. Bridal and high-fine ($1,450-3,800+) is a catalogue-plus-consultation funnel: you will not purchase-optimise cleanly at $150/day, and a 1.2% CTR on a sparkle cut is not a win if the PDP cannot show specs, warranty and shipping insurance. One campaign that mixes $29 earrings with a $1,800 pendant will spend on the earrings and teach you nothing about the pendant. Split tiers before you split hooks.
Trust is the conversion event; sparkle is only the hook
Cold traffic will watch a light-leak macro of a stone. They will not pay $240 if the next thought is 'this is brass that turns my neck green' or 'I will never get this back if it arrives wrong'. Trust signals that move CVR in this vertical are specific: metal stamp or hallmark, stone type (not 'diamond-like' unless you want returns), return window in days, resizing policy, insured shipping, and who stands behind the warranty. Put one of those in the ad for fine and bridal; save the rest for the PDP but make sure they exist. Fake hallmarks, 'VVS' on a $49 piece, and 'investment' language are refund and policy problems, not flexes.
Occasion beats always-on more than in almost any other DTC vertical
Valentine's, Mother's Day, gifting Fridays in November, and the December last-ship cutoff are not optional calendar notes — they are the P&L. Fashion jewellery can stay always-on; fine and bridal should pre-build creative 4-6 weeks before each gifting peak, with last-ship dates on screen the moment they become true. Bridal has its own calendar (engagement spikes around holidays and late spring) and a longer retarget. If you show up to 10 February with the same lifestyle cut you ran in August, you are buying peak CPMs with an off-season promise.
How to use the tables and shoot (or generate) the volume
Locked: AOV-tier economics, trust-signal copy blocks, a macro-and-try-on shot list, occasion multipliers, and hook templates by buyer (self-purchase vs gifter vs bridal). Sparkle macros and try-on UGC are what you need in volume. A product URL into Klip Kanvas will give you try-on and unbox variants without a studio day — keep metal colour accurate (yellow vs white vs rose), do not invent a certification, and do not let an avatar claim 'my husband surprised me at dinner' unless you are clearly in dramatization territory on fashion-tier only.
5 locked tables: US CPM/CTR/CPA/AOV bands by jewellery tier, trust-signal copy you can paste, a 10-shot macro/try-on list, occasion CPM/CVR multipliers, and hook templates for self-purchase, gifter and bridal.
