The Monthly Creative Sprint: A Week-by-Week Operating Sheet
A 4-week creative operating cadence with owner, output and gate per week, capacity maths by spend tier, and a sprint scorecard you can run without a 12-person team.
Winning ads are a supply problem dressed up as a strategy problem. This operating sheet is a 4-week creative sprint: owner, output and gate for each week, plus capacity maths and a scorecard, so the account is never waiting on ‘we should shoot more’ while frequency climbs.
A month is four gates, not a vibe of ‘making content’
Teams that ‘do creative every week’ still miss replacements because nothing is forced to leave the folder. A sprint with four gates fixes that: Week 1 locks angles and offers (no cameras). Week 2 produces the batch to a shot list and script skeletons. Week 3 launches with pre-written kill rules and first directional reads. Week 4 scales winners, kills losers, and writes next month’s backlog from the data — not from leftover ideas. If a week misses its gate, you do not ‘catch up’ by skipping QA; you slip the launch window and protect the testing budget. The sheet below is the calendar, not a manifesto.
Capacity is maths, not hustle
The number of ads you need is a function of spend and target CPA, not of how inspired the team feels. At $100/day you cannot fund 20 concurrent tests; at $1,000/day you cannot survive on four ads a month. Capacity maths in the locked tables translate spend → required new ads → hours or generation slots. That is also why AI UGC is a sprint tool rather than a novelty: a human shoot still belongs in Week 2 for hero proof, but hook volume has to come from a pipeline that can emit 8–20 variants without another booking. Match the production method to the volume the budget demands.
Owners beat committees
Every row in the weekly tables has one owner. Research that is ‘shared’ does not lock an angle. Production that is ‘the team’ does not hit Thursday render. Media buying that is ‘also the founder’ does not apply kill rules at 72 hours. Assign a name, even if it is the same person wearing four hats — the point is that the gate cannot be passed with a missing output. Review is a 30-minute Friday slot with the scorecard, not a 2-hour taste session. Taste is allowed only after the job metric for that cell has moved.
How to start this month without a full reorg
If you are mid-flight, do not wait for the 1st. Treat the next Monday as Week 1: dump last 14 days of ads into winners / fatigued / never-worked, pick 6 angles and 2 offers, and stop adding random hooks. Week 2, produce only those 12 cells. Klip Kanvas can turn the product URL plus those 12 briefs into the first render pass so Week 2 does not slip waiting on a creator. Week 3 launch ABO. Week 4 fill the scorecard and write the next 6 angles from what actually moved hook, hold or CPA — not from what looked clever in the edit.
6 tables inside: Week 1–4 operating sheets (owner · output · gate · hours), capacity maths by spend tier from $50–$2,500/day, and a 10-row Friday scorecard — a full month of creative without a 12-person team.
